About me

Hi, I’m Elena. I’m an artist living in the peaceful countryside of Ontario, and I also spend part of the year on the Big Island of Hawai‘i—two very different places that both inspire my work deeply.
I started painting later in life, and it quickly became a passion that completes me. When I paint, I feel most like myself. I feel whole. It’s a space where I feel present, creative, and deeply fulfilled. And when people connect with my art, it’s the most beautiful feeling.
My artistic journey began with brushes, but something always felt too restrained. Then I discovered painting knives—and everything changed. I could be free, bold, expressive. I found my rhythm.
I mostly paint florals and landscapes using oils and acrylics. My work is known for its bright, joyful colours and movement.
I believe art is more than just something you hang on a wall to fill a space- it sets the mood and brings energy into a room. Whether it’s calm and serene or bold and vibrant, a painting creates a feeling.
I put my energy into every piece I create. I love hearing people say my work makes them feel happy, energized, inspired. That’s everything to me.
I often work at night, by soft light, when the world is quiet. That’s when magic happens—happy accidents, bold marks, unexpected beauty. I let go of perfection and just let it flow.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find something here that makes you feel something—and maybe even take a little joy home with you.
